Little League Baseball has been played in Norwalk, Connecticut since 1951 making it the oldest and longest running youth sports program in the city. In 2023, our tradition continues at Broad River Park, Veterans Memorial Park, Brookside and Fitch fields. Details for each of our divisions can be found in the "ABOUT NLL" under "DIVISION DETAILS".
Norwalk Little League’s philosophy is that all children, regardless of ability, should learn and enjoy the game of baseball. Players play a minimum of 4 innings on defense and will have the opportunity to learn how to play the different positions. We group our players into age groups but do allow players to “play up” based on their ability and the recommendations of coaches. Our coaches attend clinics to give our players proper instruction and to make it fun and enjoyable.
The 2023 Spring season begins with the start of practices for our AAA, Majors, and Intermediate division teams in early April and concludes with division playoffs in June for all teams in our AAA, Majors, and Intermediate divisions. Practices for our younger divisions will begin by the middle of April and include clinics for all of our T-Ball and single A teams run by the professional coaches. T-Ball and single A games run from late April to mid June.
In addition to the regular season, Norwalk Little League offers players of all abilities multiple programs to learn and compete.
- Proudly, we have a Challenger Division that has set the standard in Connecticut for the inclusion and development of children with special needs.
- We offer a Spring Travel program for players ages 8 to 13, including a 50/70 diamond intermediate division.
- For players interested in competitive play and who are looking to extend their seasons, we also offer 3 separate options to continue playing during the summer.
Norwalk Little League is proud of our long-standing commitment to the youths of Norwalk and look forward to an exciting 2023.
